Affiliate & Editorial Disclosure
Last updated: July 28, 2026
Bikepacking Life is built around firsthand riding, camping, testing, and practical opinion. Mike’s experience, photos, and honest notes are the starting point for the site—not a product catalog.
Editorial independence
We choose what to cover and what to recommend based on real use, usefulness to riders, and whether it earns a place on the bike or in camp. A positive mention is an opinion, not a promise that the same gear, route, or approach will be right for every reader.
Affiliate links
Some future links may be affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one of those links, Bikepacking Life may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. When a link is affiliated, we will disclose that relationship clearly and close to the relevant recommendation.
Review gear, hosted travel, and paid work
From time to time, a brand, shop, tourism organization, or other partner may provide gear, a service, a trip, or payment. If that creates a material connection to content, we will identify it clearly where readers see the recommendation. Receiving something does not guarantee favorable coverage, and we reserve the right to share the practical limitations as well as the strengths.
Reader trust
We will not accept payment to hide a relationship or to write a review we do not believe. When there is no affiliate, sponsor, free product, or paid relationship behind a recommendation, we may say so—but the absence of a disclosure should not be read as a performance guarantee.
